Ragnar Kjartansson's 'Weekdays in Arcadia' Opens at Goodwood Art Foundation
Ragnar Kjartansson, an artist from Iceland, is set to unveil his first significant exhibition in the UK in over ten years at the Goodwood Art Foundation. Titled 'Weekdays in Arcadia', the exhibition will commence on 27 November 2026 and continue until 12 April 2027. It will showcase recent pieces, including the six-channel video installation 'No Tomorrow' (2022), created in collaboration with Margrét Bjarnadóttir and Bryce Dessner, as well as 'Guilt and Fear' (2022) and 'Weekdays in Arcadia' (2025). Additionally, a new outdoor piece, 'Nightmare', will delve into themes of horror, alongside 'Epic Waste of Love and Understanding' (2023). The foundation, which opened in May 2025, features works from various artists. Born in Reykjavík in 1976, Kjartansson is renowned for his unique fusion of tragedy and comedy in his multidisciplinary work.
