Rachael Heyhoe Flint's cricket memorabilia auctioned at Lord's

On August 2nd, at Lord's, auctioneers BUDDS will auction a personal cricket collection of 50 items belonging to Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint, valued between £10,000 and £15,000. Heyhoe Flint, who captained the England cricket team from 1966 to 1978 without ever suffering a Test match defeat, led her squad to triumph in the first Women's World Cup in 1973. Additionally, she played hockey for England. A prominent advocate for women's cricket, she campaigned for matches at Lord's, captaining her team in the landmark 1976 game against Australia. She was among the first women to serve as a director at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), received honorary life membership at the MCC, and was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame before her elevation to the House of Lords.
