Quarto Fuoco merges ceramic craft and fine dining at Milan Design Week 2026

During Milan Design Week 2026, Quarto Fuoco®, an initiative by Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group, collaborated with chef Davide Oldani to present tableware decorated by young people with disabilities and fragile backgrounds. The ceramic plates, created in inclusive workshops, were used at two evening events at Oldani's restaurants D'O and Olmo in Cornaredo, near Milan, accompanying four iconic dishes. The project, rooted in the concept of collective authorship, involved associations including Save the Children (with Punti Luce in Milan, Naples, and Palermo), Anffas in Sassuolo and Lucca, Coopattiva, Fondazione Pangea Onlus, Maestri di Strada, and Lucky Friends. Quarto Fuoco® received the Corporate Heritage Awards in 2022 and was selected for the ADI Design Index 2025 as an example of "Design for Social." The collaboration shifted focus to the unseen hands behind design, making the ceramic surface part of the dining experience rather than a mere background element.
