Puddletown Theatre Collective Debuts in Portland With Free Floyd Collins Reading

Chase Davidson, a theater artist with 20 years of experience across multiple cities, has established the Puddletown Theatre Collective in Portland, emphasizing immersive and site-specific narratives. The inaugural production will be a complimentary concert reading of Adam Guettel's 1994 musical Floyd Collins, scheduled for 8 pm on Sunday, October 18, at First Congregational United Church of Christ, located at 1126 SW Park Ave, with entry based on a suggested donation. The musical, centered on a 1925 cave entrapment in Kentucky, will showcase 10 performers alongside a seven-piece chamber orchestra conducted by Stephanie Smith. Davidson, who teaches voice in Portland, is an alumnus of Boston Conservatory and has participated in the national tour of Spring Awakening. Puddletown operates as an LLC under the fiscal sponsorship of Fractured Atlas.
