PSA Studio Completes 155 m² Mic(r)oLiving House in South Jakarta

architecture-design · 2026-09-14

Completed in 2025 in Kecamatan Kebayoran Baru, Indonesia, the Mic(r)oLiving House is a 155 m² residence designed by PSA Studio, with Miwa Negoro serving as curator. Ario Wirastomo and Ditta Astrini Wijayanti led the architecture team; Sukma Harwanti headed the lead team, while Muchammad Sjahroni and Alief Rizco formed the design team and Heri Setyawan the technical team. Desain Padu handled landscape architecture, and Mario Wibowo produced the project photographs. The architects frame the project around a problem they say is underweighted in tropical residential design: humidity, not heat. While high temperatures are generally tolerable, humid air produces stuffiness and leaves skin damp and sticky, making daily life uncomfortable. Moisture also threatens the building itself, accelerating material deterioration and encouraging mold growth, which shortens the structure's lifespan and lowers its overall quality. The house is categorized as a residential project and is documented through the architects' own text description.
