Prykirne Restaurant in Ukraine Reinterprets Boykivshchyna Craft Traditions
The latest issue of Glocal Design Magazine, the 89th, is named 'Visionarias del espacio' and showcases 15 women architects and interior designers from Mexico, featuring covers by Jimena Estíbaliz and Prince Láuder. This edition delves into the realms of architecture, design, and interiorism within Mexico. In Ukraine's Skhidnytsia, the Prykirne restaurant at Panorama Skhidnytsia SPA Resort, crafted by Ksenya Butsa Design Studio, pays homage to the cultural legacy of Boykivshchyna. The 375 square meter space boasts sloped ceilings reaching 7.5 meters, expansive windows, and natural materials. Its ceilings and walls are adorned with over 450 square meters of hand-painted wooden shingles. A six-meter-long chandelier, inspired by 'pavuk' designs, hangs over the dining area, complemented by a 74-year-old ceramic mural that adds character. The design highlights both craftsmanship and local heritage.
