Project Space Festival 2026: Embodied Encounters Across Berlin

The 2026 Project Space Festival Berlin, running from May 30 to June 28 across various venues, featured a series of self-organized exhibitions and performances. The first week included 'Heimwee / Riḍu' at Errant Sound, a multimedia installation by composers Jelmer de Haan and Bilawa Ade Respati with lighting designer Nindya Nareswari, exploring home during the Japanese occupation of Indonesia. The 25-minute piece used a gamelan instrument with automated batons, looping the Dutch Queen's voice. At Passage, Pedro Moraes presented 'Groteske,' curated by Victor Auberjonois, featuring an Erikli water bottle suspended with a piston that created condensation. The group show 'Hyperbleed' at Solaris Space, with works by Aleksandra Cieślewicz, Sarah Friend, Martyna Marciniak, and Aistė Stankevičiūtė, examined AI's role in reality-making, including a piece where phones autonomously wrote prompts for an AI chatbot. The week concluded with 'Venus in Three Movements: Part 1' at ACUD Gallery, a poetry reading by Amelia Ada engaging with echo, gossip, and alienation.
