Prix Marcel Duchamp 2026: Four Finalists Exhibited at MAM Paris

The Musée d'Art moderne de Paris (MAM) is presenting the four finalists for the 2026 Prix Marcel Duchamp, France's most prestigious contemporary art award, in a free exhibition running from October 2, 2026, to February 7, 2027. The winner will be announced on October 22, 2026, during Paris Art Week. The 26th edition features a diverse selection: Joël Andrianomearisoa, a Malagasy textile artist who created Madagascar's first pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2019, uses embroidered and woven installations to transform fabric into poetic language. David Brognon and Stéphanie Rollin, a Franco-Luxembourgish duo, explore social and carceral margins, turning statistics of precarity into sculptures, videos, and installations. Laura Henno, a photographer and video artist, has documented migrant children, clandestine communities, and marginalized lives for twenty years, notably in Mayotte and the California desert. The youngest nominee, Josèfa Ntjam, develops an afrofuturist practice combining digital installations, videos, and performances around mythologies, the sea, and decentralized cosmologies. The exhibition, held at 11 avenue du Président-Wilson, is open Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm, with late hours until 9:30pm on Thursdays, and admission is free.
