Prix ellipse Marks Fifth Anniversary with 23 West African Artists in Paris

exhibition · 2026-09-28

Ellipse art projects will host an anniversary exhibition in Marais, Paris, from October 15 to 31, showcasing twenty-three artists from the first five editions of the Prix ellipse. This event celebrates five years of residencies and exhibitions across Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Togo, Benin, and Ghana. Sitor Senghor observes that, while the artworks were not designed for interaction, they exhibit common themes. The exhibition features a variety of mediums, including photography, painting, and sculpture, and delves into concepts of memory, identity, and collective narratives. Among the artists are Nauld Adjahuime, Maria Adjovi, and Assoukrou Aké, whose 2022 work, Le Pacte du Silence, is part of the display. The Prix ellipse aims to foster emerging talent and intercultural dialogue, enhancing artists' mobility and professional prospects. This exhibition is organized by ellipse art projects.
