Prima di Perdersi: Enrico Pierotti and Giuseppe Urciuolo in Dialogue at Spazio TORRSO

Spazio TORRSO presents "Prima di Perdersi," a two-person exhibition featuring Enrico Pierotti and Giuseppe Urciuolo, curated with a critical text by Michele Cotelli. The show contrasts Pierotti's contemplative, suspended landscapes with Urciuolo's gestural, material-driven paintings. Pierotti, trained at the Scuola del Libro and Accademia di Belle Arti di Urbino, creates enigmatic, memory-infused scenes. Urciuolo, born in Benevento in 2000 and based in Bologna, employs rapid brushwork and vibrant color to evoke fleeting, dreamlike atmospheres. Cotelli's text uses Wim Wenders' film "Paris, Texas" as an interpretive lens, likening the exhibition's rhythm to the film's alternation between wide desert vistas and close-ups. The title "Prima di Perdersi" (Before Getting Lost) suggests a state of traversal, encouraging viewers to abandon linear interpretation and embrace disorientation as a cognitive tool. This is the third installment of TORRSO's Flatness series, which examines contemporary painting through comparative approaches.
