Přerov City Hall Renovation by atelier gram and anagram architecture

The 1969 town hall in Přerov, Czechia, a prime example of Czechoslovak modernist public architecture, has been transformed by atelier gram and anagram architecture. The project, completed in 2026, adds a new monolithic staircase that inverts the building's original inward-facing design, making municipal operations visible to the public square. Lead architects Anne-Sereine Tremblay and Jan Kudlička, along with lead team member Marina Kounavi, reoriented the institution toward civic engagement. The 5,000 m² structure incorporates products from JIKA - CZ and Wiesner-Hager Project s.r.o., with civil engineering by VCES a.s. and environmental consulting by Energy Benefit Centre.
