Powerhouse Parramatta to Open November 7; Tokyo Gendai Returns; Speed Art Museum Repatriates Items

On November 7, the Powerhouse Parramatta, the most significant cultural project in Australia since the Sydney Opera House, will officially open. This new venue complements the existing Powerhouse Ultimo, Powerhouse Castle Hill, and the Sydney Observatory, showcasing five international exhibitions that feature over 3,000 artifacts, including 1,600 from the Powerhouse Collection. Notable exhibits include 'Task Eternal' and 'The Mall.' The 30,000-square-meter facility, designed by Moreau Kusunoki and Genton, boasts a 600-seat theater and a rooftop garden. Tokyo Gendai will take place at PACIFICO Yokohama from September 11 to 13, presenting 63 galleries. In November 2027, Nieves González will debut her first solo exhibition at Contemporary Gallery Kunming. The Speed Art Museum has returned 24 items to the Southern Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes. Through September 6, The Plaza is celebrating the US Open in collaboration with Lacoste.
