Powerhouse Arts to Premiere Prado's Immersive VR Masterpieces in New York
From October 1 to December 20, Powerhouse Arts in New York will present the US debut of 'Masterpieces: A Virtual Experience of the Museo del Prado.' This 30-minute virtual reality exhibition, created by ACCIONA Cultura in collaboration with Madrid's Museo Nacional del Prado, showcases five iconic artworks: 'Las Meninas' by Velázquez, 'Witches' Sabbath' by Goya, Bosch's 'The Garden of Earthly Delights', 'Venus and Adonis' by Veronese, and 'The Sense of Sight' by Rubens and Brueghel. A fictional security guard narrates the experience, providing an intriguing viewpoint on art. Previously, the exhibition has traveled to cities like Madrid, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, and Tokyo. Additionally, public events include a MIXTAPE dance party on October 3 and a Staff Art Show from November 5 to December 6.
