POTR's Helix pot expands with origami-inspired geometry
Scottish design studio POTR has unveiled Helix, a modular self-watering growing system that expands via an origami-inspired structure. The pot's patented geometry, influenced by aerospace deployable structures, allows it to twist and extend as plants grow, eliminating repotting. A concealed reservoir supplies water through capillary action for up to two weeks. Made from recycled polypropylene and shipped flat-packed, Helix supports seed germination, propagation, and climbing plants. Multiple units can connect for modular arrangements. POTR, based in Glasgow, combines industrial design and sustainable manufacturing.
