Poliform opens flagship showroom in Milan's Piazza della Scala
Poliform has opened a new flagship showroom in Milan's Piazza della Scala, occupying a 19th-century palazzo that once housed a hotel for opera performers. The 1,500 sq m space, designed by architect Stefano Belingardi Clusoni, blends historical architecture with contemporary design, featuring a restrained palette of natural stone, light oak, glass, and mirrored steel. The showroom includes a sculptural circular staircase, a café and bistro by chef Michele De Liguoro, and dedicated areas for kitchens and bedrooms. CEO Marco Spinelli, a second-generation family member appointed this year, says the move from Piazza Cavour is both symbolic and strategic, aiming to position Poliform as a lifestyle brand rooted in architecture and hospitality. The building, constructed in 1876, has served as a private residence, hotel, and clothing store. The flagship opened during Salone del Mobile, when EuroCucina returned to Milan.
