Pliskin Architecture completes brick-clad Brooklyn rowhouse with interlocking entry

In 2025, Pliskin Architecture finalized the Leonard Street Rowhouse, a two-family residence covering 6,000 square feet in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The design showcases a cohesive brick exterior with a sloped recess that serves as a communal entrance. Utilizing light sand-colored bricks minimizes thermal bridging, complemented by Ipe wood details and high-performance aluminum windows that surpass energy regulations. Distinctive features on the facade differentiate the two residences: the penthouse boasts a picture window, while the townhouse showcases intricate brickwork. The townhouse offers a ground-floor bedroom and a private backyard, whereas the penthouse spans three levels, complete with a skylit staircase and a roof deck. The interiors are adorned with European oak flooring and terrazzo, and the project repurposed much of the original foundation.
