Plau Design Launches Reserva Script, a Pointed-Pen Type System for Brazilian Apparel Brand Reserva
Reserva, a Brazilian retail brand, has introduced Reserva Script, a pointed-pen typography system crafted by designers Mariana Navarro and Rodrigo Saiani. This new typeface complements Reserva's existing type offerings—Reserva Sans, Serif, and Display—by incorporating a touch of calligraphic spontaneity. The creation process began with hand-drawn sketches before being digitized. Reserva Script boasts five weights: Light, Regular, Semibold, Bold, and Black, featuring a thirty-degree italic slant and distinct contrast in expansion. Generous swashes adorn the capital letters, while the lowercase letters highlight rhythm. The typeface supports full diacritics and ligatures, ensuring typographic consistency across various applications, such as apparel tags and promotional posters.
