Plano Humano Arquitectos Completes Mata do Paraíso Scout Park in Vila Franca de Xira, Portugal
Plano Humano Arquitectos has completed the Mata do Paraíso Scout Park, a 355 m² public and community architecture project in Portugal, with completion slated for 2026. The Municipality of Vila Franca de Xira promoted the park's construction, which received co-financing from the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), in order to address the municipality's shortage of infrastructure for scouting activities. Pedro Ferreira and Helena Vieira served as principal architects, with Vitór Sá handling coordination. The project team comprised José Pedro Fernandes, Carolina Balsinha, Rui Sequeira and Nancy Boleto. GAPLR provided structural engineering and consulting services, while Ideawood and Obragoito carried out general construction. João Morgado photographed the project, and Susanna Moreira curated it for ArchDaily. The scheme falls under the public architecture and community category, and the original ArchDaily presentation is also available in Portuguese.
