PIN Architects completes Elmali House in Muğla, Türkiye, blending modern and traditional structures

PIN Architects has realized Elmali House in Elmali Village, Ula, Muğla, Türkiye, with completion in 2024. The project occupies a site at the village's eastern edge, where a natural stream meets the forest, surrounded by pine trees and overlooking the southeastern slope. It comprises two distinct parcels: a 150 m² single-story modern concrete house featuring two bedrooms, an open kitchen, terraces, and a pool, alongside a 90 m² guest house that is a reconstructed traditional Ula village house, restored to its original character. Lead architects Salih Kucuktuna, Ekin Arslan Bahçeci, and Fikret Sungay oversaw the design, with photography by İbrahim Özbunar. Curated by Miwa Negoro, the architecture was built by general contractor Evv Yapi Uretim, covering a total area of 354 m².
