Pierre-Emmanuel Lyet's Cross-Disciplinary Visual Storytelling Blends Animation, Illustration and Typography

French illustrator, animator and artistic director Pierre-Emmanuel Lyet creates work that merges editorial illustration, children's literature and animated film. His 2009 short Parade and La Nuit américaine d'Angélique, which received a César nomination for Best Animated Film in 2016, demonstrate his cinematic achievements. A typographic adaptation of Pierre et le loup (Peter and the Wolf) won multiple international film festival awards. Lyet contributed animation sequences to Marie Amachoukeli's 2023 feature Àma Gloria and the hybrid youth series Luz & les Sonidos. His portfolio features warm colored pencil drawings and expressive paintings romanticizing Parisian streets and rooftops.
