Philip Lindeman Opens 'Open 24/7' at L44 in Sofia, Created in Under Two Weeks

exhibition · 2026-10-05

Illustrator Philip Lindeman from Utrecht has kicked off his solo show, 'Open 24/7,' at L44, a creative space in Sofia, Bulgaria. The exhibition runs until October 20, 2026, and explores nighttime urban life. Curated in just under two weeks during his stay at L44, it features murals, three paintings, twelve sculptures, a neon sign, handmade candles, and a specially labeled beer. Drawing inspiration from night shops, nightlife, and Bulgarian folklore, L44 describes the exhibition as being "between a hangover and a haunting." Even though it was Lindeman's first visit to Bulgaria, he felt like he was "predicting something to test against reality." His hard work, often up to fourteen hours a day, resulted in a unique exhibition that’s been well-received locally.
