Pexar, a part of Lexar known for its digital photo frames, is launching into the world of Thunderbolt 5 docks with the PexarBolt Ultra. This new dock will hit Kickstarter soon, offering early backers a price of $479, while the full retail price is set at $649. The PexarBolt Ultra features a five-inch touchscreen and a metal dial for device management and settings adjustments. It comes equipped with a variety of ports, including two Thunderbolt 5 ports and one host port. Other connections include USB 3.2, DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and more. It also has a CFexpress slot, SD card slots, and an integrated NVMe SSD slot for extra storage. Release details are still pending.
