Perkins&Will Designs Mingwan School on Tencent Campus in Shenzhen
Construction of Block 05 West, a significant part of Tencent's Global Headquarters in Shenzhen's Qianhai-Dachan Bay Port Zone, is underway, designed by Perkins&Will. This expansive project encompasses Mingwan School, a private educational institution, and Qianwan School, a nine-year public school. Mingwan School, established through a collaboration between Tencent, the Chen Yidan Foundation, and Shanghai Jingzhi, will offer comprehensive education from kindergarten to high school, including boarding options. Spanning 59,000 square meters, the facility aims to deliver innovative and interdisciplinary learning experiences. Completion is anticipated by 2026, involving contributions from designers James Lu and Chris Hardie, among others.
