Perfumer H and Troy Town Ceramics Collaborate on Clay Fragrance and Ceramic Bottles
Lyn Harris, the founder of Perfumer H, has introduced a new fragrance named Clay, drawing inspiration from the evolution of soft clay into fired ceramic. This scent combines a baked clay accord with notes of sandalwood, ambroxan, maltol, and orange flower. To enhance the launch, Harris teamed up with Aaron Angell, the creator of London’s Troy Town ceramics studio, to produce ceramic versions of Perfumer H's iconic bottles. These will be showcased in Perfumer H stores alongside other pieces from Angell's collection. Harris was impressed by Angell's distinctive style, which merges Victorian charm with traditional Japanese Oribe ceramics. After giving him a bottle and fragrance sample, Angell returned with remarkable pieces crafted from clay and feldspar, featuring a unique peacock effect. This collaboration continues Harris's tradition of partnering with various artists, following previous work with Studio Nicholson, Will Calver, and Michael Ruh.
