Pentagram Unveils Fluid Brand Identity for Ghent's De Bijloke Music Centre

architecture-design · 2026-10-03

Pentagram has developed a fresh brand identity for De Bijloke, a music venue located in Ghent, Belgium. This digital-centric identity showcases a sweeping emblem influenced by John Cage's musical notation and oscilloscopes, encircling the deBijloke wordmark with lively color pairings. An oversized numeral serves as a backdrop, complemented by a typographic system that employs Forma DJR. Eye-catching headlines are evident, as illustrated by a billboard for Benjamin Clementine and a poster for the Nadar Ensemble. The physical manifestations include a maroon A-board, an outdoor flag, a tote bag, and a seasonal magazine. The New Music segment features a vinyl sleeve adorned with black text and orange waves. A generative tool ensures the design remains fluid. Marina Willer's team at Pentagram spearheaded the project.
