Paved States x Haworth DesignLab at NeoCon 2026

architecture-design · 2026-06-13

At NeoCon 2026, Paved States and Haworth DesignLab presented 'A Living Room for What Comes Next,' an immersive installation at The Mart in Chicago. Curated by Patricia Urquiola and Chris Force, the installation occupied the South Lobby and Suite 121, functioning as a gallery, exhibition, and concept store. It featured a sensory audio room with sculptural lighting and acoustic surfaces, opening into flexible spaces for rest, work, and gathering. The collaboration marked Paved States' second NeoCon appearance after its 2025 debut and its first with Haworth DesignLab. The selection included emerging designers from North America and Latin America, such as HBAS Co., Lauren Goodman, Studio Ahead, and The CULT, led by Alaide and Guillermo Alejandre. Haworth DesignLab, launched in 2023, aims to foster experimental design perspectives.
