Paul Anthony Kelly Debuts Leather Look at American Horror Story: 13 Premiere

At the New York premiere of American Horror Story: 13, held at the Hotel Chelsea, Paul Anthony Kelly abandoned his recent JFK Jr.-inspired wardrobe for an all-black Hermès ensemble that included tight leather pants. Styled by Warren Alfie Baker, the outfit featured a single-breasted suit jacket, shirt, and tie, paired with Jacques Marie Mage sunglasses and a Vacheron Constantin watch with a teal-blue crocodile strap. This marked a departure from Kelly's previous red-carpet choices, which had leaned on preppy Ralph Lauren blazers, checked bomber jackets, Chanel button-downs, and tailoring from Giuliva Heritage and Dior—a style that mirrored his role as John F. Kennedy Jr. in Love Story opposite Sarah Pidgeon. Leather has recently appeared in menswear via Alexander Skarsgård and Pedro Pascal. The upcoming American Horror Story season is Kelly's first major role since Love Story, and he joins new cast members Alex Consani, Avantika, and Madelaine Petsch alongside returning stars. At the premiere, Angela Bassett wore a petal-skirted Falguni Shane Peacock gown, Sarah Paulson chose a Valentino dress with a tulle-and-mesh bodice, and Jessica Lange opted for a tailored Valentino midi.
