Patricia Urquiola's Andaz Lisbon Opens with Vibrant Design and Curated Art
Patricia Urquiola's Studio Urquiola designed the interior of Andaz Lisbon, a new hotel opening in Lisbon's Praça do Comércio. The hotel features 170 rooms, including four Arch Suites with views of the Rua Augusta Arch. Art curated by Federica Sala includes works by Beatrice Bonafini, Rosarinho Andrade, and Farinha Rosa. The rooftop restaurant Luzzi offers modern Lusitanian cuisine by chef Bruno Alves, drawing on culinary heritage from Goa, Macau, Mozambique, Japan, Cape Verde, Angola, and Brazil. The hotel is the first Andaz to open since Hyatt's acquisition of The Standard. Amenities include Byredo's Eleventh Hour products and mini-bar items from Portuguese producers. A spa and gym are planned for the future.
