artist · 2026-10-14

In an interview with Singulart Magazine, 46-year-old Italian artist and video animator Pasquale D'Amico shared insights about his creative process. He is currently working on an augmented reality exhibition that allows attendees to animate around twenty of his paintings using their smartphones; twelve of these pieces are complete and available for purchase on Singulart. Among his works is the largest piece, "Solitude in Celebration," which showcases his own augmented reality animation. D'Amico draws inspiration from Brutalism and abstract compass drawings, with significant influences stemming from his mother and his experiences in Perugia, Berlin, Rome, and Salento. This year, he also authored a science fiction novel and prefers not to limit himself to a single artistic discipline. His notable works include "Il Labirinto del Cuore," "Solitudine in Festa," and "Symmetry of the Mind."
