Parque Prado: A Topographic Park in Medellín by CONNATURAL
So, there's this awesome park called Parque Prado in Medellín, Colombia, which was finished in 2021 by a design team known as CONNATURAL. It covers 5,500 square meters and creatively uses the natural slope of the land to create terraces that connect plants, wildlife, and people. The focus was on reusing materials, local building techniques, and making sure rainwater drains well. This park really embodies growth and highlights the importance of cultural projects for Medellín's future. The design crew included Edgar Mazo and Érica Martínez, among others, with Nicolás Hermelín taking care of the plants. Alejandro Restrepo handled design checks, while Mauricio Jaramillo focused on forestry.
