Park Seo-Bo Museum Opens in Seoul; Frieze Abu Dhabi Debuts; MCA Australia Unveils Nell Commission; Perth Sky Park Launch
On August 21, the Park Seo-Bo Museum was inaugurated in Yeonhui-dong, Seoul, honoring the Dansaekhwa trailblazer Park Seo-Bo. The museum, designed by Choi Moongyu, encompasses 2,000 square meters across five stories and showcases Park's artworks and archives. Its first exhibition, titled "Park Seo-bo and Huong Dodinh: Emptiness Fullness," features 25 of Park's paintings alongside 17 by Huong Dodinh, available for viewing until January 3, 2027. Additionally, Frieze Abu Dhabi is set to take place from November 19 to 22 at Manarat Al Saadiyat, with participation from 84 galleries across 63 cities. MCA Australia announced its upcoming sculpture commission for 2026–27, "Holding Both" by Nell, which will be displayed until August 23, 2027. The Perth Sky Sculpture Park is scheduled to open on October 31, featuring 60 sculptures with updates every 22 months.
