Paris School of Architecture showcases speculative table design and urban interventions

The Paris School of Architecture (PS-Arch) has presented a range of conceptual projects in its annual exhibition, including speculative table designs, urban interventions, and digital-age architectural responses. Among the featured works is 'Arts de la Table', a two-week intensive where students explored eating as a spatial and material act, creating performative installations such as a bread chess set and an eroding cake. Another project, 'Firewall Architecture' by Varvara Anisimova, imagines a near future where domestic life is continuously surveilled, proposing an architectural firewall with Faraday caves and reflective surfaces within a Haussmannian block in Paris. 'Default Systems, Inherited' by Aaron Fenwick critiques the city as an operational system shaped by logistical protocols, while 'Cyclical Sanctuary' by Garima Purohit examines similar themes. The 'Urban Activator' workshop, a collaboration with ESAM Design School, saw 30 interior architecture students develop temporary interventions for Place Stalingrad. The Critical Inquiry course investigated Paris's bioclimatic urban plan through site-based research. PS-Arch, a two-year postgraduate programme taught in English, recently achieved RIBA Part 2 Candidate Course status. The exhibition was featured on Dezeen as part of a partnership.
