Paris Museums Celebrate Fête de la Musique 2026
The 45th edition of Fête de la musique returns on Sunday, June 21, 2026, coinciding with the summer solstice. In Paris and Île-de-France, numerous cultural institutions and museums host free concerts and events. At Institut suédois in the Marais, traditional dances and songs begin at 5pm, followed by contemporary music concerts by Fågelle (7:30pm) and Sara Parkman (8:45pm). Nearby, Myd, Miel de Montagne, and other Recherche & Développement label artists perform at Musée Carnavalet's garden. In Romainville, the new cultural district FAST features a concert by Tharaud Foundation laureates in its outdoor theater, followed by a Korean-inspired DJ set by Didi Han. Musée Guimet dedicates an afternoon and evening (2pm-10pm) to Korean music, including K-pop dance workshops, a K-pop history lecture, dance performances, makeup workshops, karaoke, and a rooftop party curated by label Chinabot. At Hangar Y in Meudon, the Orchestre national d'Île-de-France performs a free "concert-fantaisie" from 5pm, featuring music from Miyazaki films, Harry Potter, and Tchaikovsky ballets. At Palais-Royal gardens, the Ministry of Culture hosts concerts by Thomas Dutronc, the Orchestre national de jazz, metro musicians Anna Stevens and Félix Hunot, the Big Band du Conservatoire de Paris, open dances, and the Dry Bayou fanfare. The Louvre Museum celebrates early on Saturday, June 20, with a free concert by the Orchestre de Paris under the pyramid, opening the festival Les Étés du Louvre.
