Paola Pivi's 'This Is Life' video projections at Venice's Teatro Goldoni precede 2026 Biennale

On May 4, 2026, the Teatro Goldoni in Venice will host the video projection 'This Is Life,' a special project featuring Paola Pivi, the Austrian collective Gelitin, and artists Roberto Cuoghi and Luigi Ontani. The event, part of the 61st International Art Exhibition, presents new performances based on a 2020 song by Karma Culture Brothers, who conceived the project. Filmmaker Hugo Glendinning captured the footage, which will be screened from 6 PM to 10 PM. Curator Pier Paolo Pancotto will introduce and present the works, designed as individual pieces. Meanwhile, Paola Pivi's solo exhibition 'Live Again' at Perrotin Paris concludes on April 18, showcasing her 'New Life' series. Her career-spanning show 'I don't like it, I love it' continues at the Art Gallery of Western Australia in Perth. In Montreal, the Fondation PHI pour l'Art Contemporaine will open 'Come check it out. Lies lies lies,' her first solo exhibition in Quebec, on April 23. Karma Culture Brothers, a Tibetan-origin composer born in India and raised in a monastery, blends music with visual and performing arts, having released six albums including 'The Circle,' which addresses a legal battle in India over the custody of his adopted child with Pivi.
