Panerai's 'Immersion' Transforms Florentine Crypt into Sensory Journey

exhibition · 2026-08-26

To mark its 100th anniversary, luxury watch brand Panerai will host 'Immersion,' an interactive exhibition at Florence's Museo Marino Marini from September 10 to 19. This exhibit reimagines the museum's medieval crypt, showcasing the brand's evolution from a family-run watchmaker in Florence to a provider of diving instruments for the Italian Navy, without following a linear narrative. Attendees will journey through a replica military workshop, experience an 'abyss' of pressure, and explore environments inspired by polar regions, sailing, and navigation. The Museo Marino Marini, a former church dating back to the early ninth century, also featured Panerai's 'Dive Into Time' exhibition in 2016. CEO Emmanuel Perrin emphasized that 'Immersion' highlights the Maison's current spirit, merging tradition with modernity.
