Pamoja House by Project 51 A (h) in Kerala Reimagines Multigenerational Living

Pamoja House, designed by the Indian architecture firm Project 51 A (h), is a residence for a three-generation family in Muhamma, Kerala, completed in 2024. The project was driven by the observation that the family had outgrown their previous home not only in area but in its ability to accommodate evolving life dynamics. Rather than simply expanding square footage, the design focuses on spatial continuity, generous sections, and everyday interaction to strengthen intergenerational bonds while preserving individual privacy. The house spans 2,888 square feet and was led by principal architects Nandagopal B and Shrilakshmi K, with design team member Anil Prasad Leela. Civil engineering consultancy was provided by Skeltek. The project was curated by Miwa Negoro, and photographs were taken by Prasoon Suresh.
