PAMM Opens Basquiat Exhibition from Kenneth Griffin Collection

The Pérez Art Museum Miami has launched “Basquiat: Figures, Signs, Symbols,” a significant exhibition showcasing Jean-Michel Basquiat’s artwork in South Florida, which includes nine paintings and a sculpture from the Kenneth C. Griffin Collection. This exhibition delves into Basquiat’s exploration of themes such as portraiture, language, race, anatomy, and power, highlighting notable pieces like Untitled (1982), In Italian (1983), and Pez Dispenser (1984). In Taormina, Dior has inaugurated its first permanent spa at Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, featuring four treatment rooms that harmonize Sicilian mosaics with Dior aesthetics. Additionally, the Campus Upstate will return in summer 2026, expanding its international program to include eight galleries from the U.K. and a solo showcase by Tuan Andrew Nguyen featuring a new sandstone Buddha sculpture. Lastly, Courtenay Finn has been appointed chief curator at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, transitioning from the Orange County Museum of Art to oversee programming at the Momentary. Balenciaga has also made history as the first fashion house to collaborate with Substack, formalizing its involvement through the platform's sponsorship initiative after establishing a brand profile in July 2025.
