Palazzo Litta in Milan to Open to Public with Exhibitions, Gardens
The Direzione regionale Musei nazionali Lombardia has announced that Palazzo Litta, a historic Baroque palace in Milan, will open its grand sections to the public. The project, designed by AMDL CIRCLE, which was established by Michele De Lucchi, integrates exhibitions, public areas, and renovated gardens. Constructed in the 1640s, the palace boasts a staircase designed by Carlo Giuseppe Merlo and was purchased by the Upper Italy Railways in 1874. Under the leadership of Silvia Zanzani, the masterplan will distinguish cultural spaces from office areas, create a multifunctional hall, and restore the currently off-limits monumental garden, while also incorporating a library, restoration labs, and art storage to enrich the cultural landscape between Cadorna and Sant'Ambrogio.
