Outdoor Furniture Roundup: Teak, Rope, and Cedar Pieces for Residential and Hospitality Spaces

A survey of new outdoor seating and shade designs leans on solid teak, handwoven rope, and cedar, with minimal forms pitched for both residential terraces and hospitality venues. Tuuci's Horizon Swivel Lounge Chair rotates a full 360 degrees and comes in classic or deep seating depths, while a separate Tuuci shade floats and opens horizontally across multiple positions. Gloster's Ithaca Collection, created by Michele De Lucchi's AMDL Circle, pairs solid teak with the company's craft across seating types and a coffee table. ILMIODESIGN drew on the Mediterranean Sea for MAGNA, built around a generous seat and a restrained silhouette. Jean-Marie Massaud's Shore Outdoor Sofa for Poliform uses a handwoven rope structure and curved, shell-like forms that reference wave movement. ORCA's Buoy Rocking Chair assembles simple cantilevered cedar forms in Los Angeles, producing a sweeping rocking motion. The UZ Deck Chair by Angelettiruzza Design for YAAZ is a foldable solid teak lounger with a handwoven fabric seat. Yabu Pushelberg's collection for Tribù centers on lounging, with soft curves, low profiles, and modular configurations.
