Otlo Studio's skylit House of Quiet Raga in Indore

Otlo Studio has completed the House of Quiet Raga, a 604-square-metre family home in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India, designed as a sanctuary for residents working at a nearby hospital. The home centers on a skylit pool that gathers light and reflection, marking the passage of time. Main living areas are on the first floor above a ground-level gathering hall, guest room, and cow shed. The layout organizes around the central pool, with a lounge to the west and raised dining to the east, both opening onto terraces. Clerestory windows and skylights diffuse daylight through layered arched openings. Mottled lime plaster in pale cream tones complements the soft light. Kota stone flooring runs through main spaces; the kitchen has patterned tiles and green ceramic splashbacks. In the main bedroom, a green wall contrasts the headboard; children's bedroom and kitchen feature murals referencing Vrindavan, where one client grew up.
