OnePlus exits Western markets amid chip shortage crisis

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is withdrawing from Western markets as a global memory chip shortage severely impacts the industry. The company will continue supporting existing devices with software updates and security patches but did not specify a timeline for a complete shutdown. Parent company Oppo confirmed that OnePlus's product roadmap in China remains unchanged. However, Oppo's budget subsidiary Realme will stop launching new products in China and shift focus to overseas markets. These moves aim to consolidate resources and enhance global product strategy synergy.
