One Milestone complex opens at Harvard's Enterprise Research Campus
One Milestone, a dual-building development crafted by Studio Gang, Henning Larsen, and Arrowstreet, has officially opened at Harvard University's Enterprise Research Campus located in Allston, Massachusetts. This project represents the completion of the first phase of the Harvard Allston Land Company's initiative, which includes the David Rubenstein Treehouse by Studio Gang, a hotel designed by Marlon Blackwell Architects, a residential tower from MVRDV, and a 2-acre greenspace created by SCAPE. The complex features One Milestone West (245,000 sq ft) by Studio Gang and One Milestone East (265,000 sq ft) by Henning Larsen, linked by a transparent atrium spanning three stories. Genentech, a subsidiary of Roche, will occupy more than a third of the East building. Arrowstreet acted as the architect of record and sustainability advisor, with Tishman Speyer supporting the project. Future phases will develop the 36-acre site over several decades.
