Omer Arbel's Governors Point development integrates 16 custom homes into Washington's coastal landscape

Omer Arbel, the cofounder of Bocci, a design studio located in Vancouver, is creating 16 bespoke residences for Governors Point in Bellingham, Washington. This project, spearheaded by fellow cofounder Randy Bishop, maintains 78% of its 125-acre site as a nature reserve. Each home is restricted to 2,900 square feet on 1-2 acre lots, with prices starting at approximately $5 million. Arbel's architectural style incorporates black-concrete walls and wood-sphere cladding made from logging byproducts. The initial home for Bishop is set for completion this summer, while Arbel has acquired the second lot. His firm, Omer Arbel Office (OAO), has been recognized on AN Interior's Top 50 list for two consecutive years. Bocci, which is marking its 20th anniversary, employs nearly 100 staff and has operations in Berlin and Milan.
