Omega Unveils Seven New Speedmaster 38 mm Models with Diamond and Gold Options

Omega has introduced seven new references in its Speedmaster 38 mm collection, offering a dressier alternative to the iconic 42 mm Moonwatch. The Speedmaster, first launched in 1957 as a purpose-built chronograph, became synonymous with spaceflight after NASA qualified it for crewed missions in 1965. The new 38 mm models feature variations on the five-link stainless steel bracelet, with two models incorporating gold accents. Notable options include an ice blue PVD coated dial and a white mother-of-pearl dial, both available with 52 diamonds totaling 1.53 carats on the bezel. Steel-on-steel versions include a black aluminum bezel with a matte black dial, a blue ceramic bezel with a white dial, a grey aluminum bezel, and an opaline silvery PVD dial. All new models have a thicker bezel and reduced dial lettering for a cleaner aesthetic. Omega President and CEO Raynald Aeschlimann stated that the update takes Moonwatch inspiration further, enriching the Speedmaster DNA while retaining the refined nature of the 38 mm range. Recent red-carpet wearers of the 38 mm Speedmaster include Colman Domingo, Tommy Bastow, and Chase Stokes. The collection continues Omega's tradition of watchmaking since 1848.
