OlssønBarbieri Designs Tactile Cans for Himkok RTD Cocktails

architecture-design · 2026-09-29

Himkok, a renowned bar in Oslo, has introduced a new range of ready-to-drink cocktails, designed by OlssønBarbieri. The packaging features matte aluminum cans inspired by Nordic apothecary aesthetics. The initial offerings include the Oslo Mule and Oslo Paloma, both containing Himkok Aquavit with an alcohol content of 4.7% ABV. The branding prominently displays the Himkok name, with the cocktail names and ingredients presented in sharp typography. Classic drug store-style data grids are incorporated, while flexo printing on the uncoated aluminum uses flat chalk white ink to showcase a viper illustration by Esra Røise. This design merges a rugged bar vibe with a tidy appearance, reflecting Nordic distilling traditions and collaborating with local brewer Aass.
