OlssønBarbieri Designs Shake-it Mixer Packaging with Fluted Glass and Apothecary Labels

architecture-design · 2026-10-13

OlssønBarbieri has crafted the packaging for Shake-it Mixer, a cordial range by Hans Just Group, incorporating custom fluted glass and vintage medicinal labels to bring back the essence of cordial culture. Drawing inspiration from Renaissance herbal remedies and Jerry Thomas's 1862 bartending manual, the bottle showcases twelve vertical flutes reminiscent of lime segments, which improve grip and reflect light beautifully. The label design includes a striking sans-serif brand name and a structured grid for cordial numbers and tasting notes, adorned with botanical illustrations by Irene Laschi and Tomas Lindell. A blind-embossed band distinguishes the text from the artwork, while cocktail suggestions are provided on the back. Uncoated paper labels pair with aluminum caps and cork stoppers. This design was highlighted on Behance.
