Olivia Wilde's erotic comedy thriller 'I Want Your Sex' will debut on premium video on demand (PVOD) on Tuesday, September 1, following a limited theatrical run. The film, directed by Gregg Araki, stars Wilde as Erika Tracy, a renowned artist who turns her new assistant Elliot (Cooper Hoffman) into her sexual muse, leading to obsession, power, betrayal, and murder. It also features Charli XCX, Chase Sui Wonders, Daveed Diggs, Mason Gooding, Margaret Cho, and Johnny Knoxville. The film opened in 705 North American theaters on July 31, earning nearly $635,000 in its opening weekend, and concluded its domestic run on August 23 with $1.466 million in ticket sales. International earnings exceed $459,000, with further overseas expansion underway. On PVOD, the film will be available for purchase at $24.99 on platforms including Prime Video, Apple TV, Fandango at Home, and YouTube Movies & TV, with rentals at $19.99 for 48 hours. Critics gave it a 91% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences scored it 65%. This marks Wilde's second film of the summer, following her directorial effort 'The Invite,' which also moved to streaming in early August. At the premiere on July 29, Wilde told E! News that the two films 'feel like sisters' and represent opposite sides of her personality, expressing gratitude for being part of two independent comedies released in theaters.
