Olivia Rosenthal Curates Giacometti Sculptures at Institut Giacometti, Paris

From 11 November 2026 to 21 February 2027, the Institut Giacometti in Paris hands its display to the writer Olivia Rosenthal, who has gathered roughly fifty sculptures on a single platform, ranging from the minuscule to the monumental, from L'Homme qui marche II to the Femmes de Venise. Rosenthal, winner of the Prix du Livre Inter for Que font les renes apres Noel ?, writes from places such as zoos, hospitals and slaughterhouses, exploring human-animal relations and every form of disappearance. Her text supplies the exhibition's title, Sortir du bois, and her voice runs through the rooms. Wood is a motif: Giacometti saw a human silhouette in the tall trunks of Swiss forests. L'Homme qui marche II, the Grande femme IV and the Femmes de Venise stand side by side, arranged like a tribe caught in its biotope. The Institut Giacometti is located at 5 rue Victor Schoelcher, 75014 Paris, near Raspail metro (lines 4 and 6). Opening hours are Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 6pm, by reservation. Admission is 9 euros, reduced 3 euros, free for under-18s.
