Olivia Rodrigo's Unraveled Tour Sparks Debate Over Social Media Spoilers at Concerts
Last week, Olivia Rodrigo kicked off her Unraveled tour, igniting discussions about spoiler culture in live performances as fan-recorded videos circulated on social media. Since Charli XCX's Music, Fashion, Film tour commenced last month, TikTok has seen a 40% rise in posts tagged with #CharliXCX. Aurélia Collins, a fan who prefers to dodge spoilers, has tailored her algorithm to maintain surprises but felt "gutted" by a spoiler regarding Niall Horan before his London concert. Conversely, Georgia McAdam welcomes spoilers for better planning. Artists like Taylor Swift and Jay-Z change their setlists to keep audiences engaged.
