Olin B. West's 'Timescapes' Paintings at RioBravoFineArt

RioBravoFineArt in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, will exhibit Olin B. West's 'Timescapes' series from July 11 to August 28, 2026, opening during the Second Saturday Art Hop. West, born in Paris, Texas, and raised on Wyoming plains, settled in Santa Fe in 1976 before moving to Truth or Consequences in 1997 to focus on painting. The 'Timescapes' paintings feature discrete marks or 'tabs' representing units of time, with backgrounds reflecting the artist's experiences during creation—distractions, thoughts, and sensations. The show is presented in partnership with La Galeria at the Shaffer in Mountainair, New Mexico, located in the historic Shaffer Hotel, a Pueblo Deco Architecture example. RioBravoFineArt, now in its 28th year, occupies 6,000 square feet in the Historic Hot Springs District and represents about two dozen contemporary artists.
